Q1  Where can applicant (citizen) apply for a Marriage Certificate?
Ans The official website: https://kaveri.karnataka.gov.in/landing-page
Q2 How to register first-time users?
Ans For the first time users go to the Kaveri 2.0 portal URL:” https://kaveri.karnataka.gov.in/landing- page” in any of the browsers and click on the register button, enter the citizen details which all are mandatory fields, then citizen will get the auto-generated password to your register mobile number/e- Mail ID. After that, you can log in to the citizen page by using your email id and generated password to avail of the services.
Q3 Can we change the languages when citizens enter the page?
Ans Yes. We can change the languages on the home page and also after login to the application by selecting the language change toggle button which is present at the top of the page for both English/Kannada.
Q4 Can we reset the password?
Ans Yes. Post login to the portal there is an option called “Change password“ by clicking profile/account
 which is present at the right top corner of the screen to reset the password by providing  the  Old password & new password then click on Change, after that, you can log in to the portal with a new password.
Q5 Is Aadhaar mandatory?
Ans Yes: For Online application Aadhaar is mandatory
Q6  Is Service under Sakala?
Ans Yes and it is 1 Working day
Q7 Is it mandatory that the applicant should be resident of Karnataka?
Ans Yes: It is mandatory that either of the Bride, Bridegroom or the marriage place should be in the Karnataka 
Q8 Is it required to upload the joint photo of bride and Bridegroom?
Ans Yes it is required
Q9  What is the size and format of the image to get the marriage certificate?
Ans The size of the photo shouldn’t exceed 2 MB (707*500mm) and it should be in PNG format
Q10  What will be the age of Bride and Bridegroom at the time of Marriage?
Ans The minimum age of Bride is 18 and the minimum age of Bridegroom is 21
Q11 When applicant(citizen) can apply for the Marriage Certificate?
Ans Post- Marriage
Q12 How many Witnesses are required for the marriage certificate?
Ans 3 witnesses are required and all witnesses age should be greater than 18 years.
Q13 Is it possible to apply Divorcee/Widow(er) for marriage?
Ans Yes. Divorcee - It is possible and need to produce the divorcee Decree/Certificate
       Window(er) – It is possible and need to produce the death certificate of the deceased.
Q14 What all are acceptable documents for age Proof?
Ans A. Birth certificate
B. Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC)
C. School Cumulative Record
D. Doctor Certificate
Note: Any one is Mandatory
Q15 What all are acceptable documents for address proof?
Ans A. Ration card
B. Passport
C. Driving License
D. Employee ID
E. Bank Passbook
F. Epic card (Voter ID)

Note: Any one is Mandatory
Q16 What all are acceptable documents for Identity proof?
Ans A. PAN
B. Passport
C. Driving License
D. Bank Passbook
E. Ration Card
F. Aadhar Number
G. Epic card (Voter ID)
H. Employee ID

Note: Any one is Mandatory
Q17 What all are acceptable documents for Marriage proof?
Ans A. Wedding Invitation Card (Mandatory)
B. Temple / Choultry/Marriage Hall/KalyanaMantapa Receipt (any one)
C. Others (relevant document only)
Q18  Is it necessary to come to an office for offline Hindu marriage?
Ans Not required to visit SR office for submit hindu marriage online application Form
Q19  How do we make online payment?
Ans After the application accepted by SR, Citizen must make the payment as mentioned by SR this will redirect citizen to payment gateway to make the online payment.
Q20 Are there multiple payment modes available?
Ans Yes. There is multiple payment modes are available as below

A.Net banking – Applicant  can use their net banking-enabled account to make the online payment
B.Debit Card/Credit Card – Applicant can use their Debit/Credit cards which are provided by the bank to make the online payment
C.UPI (GPay/Phone Pay)– Applicant  can use their UPI-enabled account to make the  online payment

Note: Manual Payment is not acceptable.
Q21 Can applicant (citizen) reschedule the appointment?
Ans Yes, once appointment is scheduled, the applicant (Citizen) can reschedule the appointment only after 24 hrs of the appointment booking time.
Q22 Can Applicant (Citizen) edit the submitted application as per the suggestion of SR?
Ans Applicant can only edit the application once SR has sent it back to the applicant login to clear the discrepancies, if any.
Q23 Can applicant(citizen) do the e-KYC verification while applying the marriage certificate?           
Ans Yes,It will fetch the details from e-KYC verification while applying.
Q24 Is the Public Grievance System established?
Ans Yes. The facility is available for citizens to raise grievances for below said helpline number.  Help    Line Contact Number: 080-68265316
Q25  Is there a facility available for the submission of online complaints?
Ans Ans: Yes. The facility is available for citizens to submit the complaints for below-said email ids

Q26 Is the department interacting through its social media?
